2048 bits have existing certificate templates

I want to be sure that certificate that it is definitely 2048 bits have existing certificate templates already
can modify it? and do i need to recreate them first?

As You mentioned the certificate template can be changed or create new one but in the Cryptography TAB at Minimum key size You can modify it.
